Our Newark Branch
Located on the outskirts of Newark, our branch is perfectly suited to showcase a large range of agricultural and groundcare machinery. Along with large demo machines from brands such as Merlo and Kubota, our shop also stocks smaller machinery and everyday products from clothing to tools. It really is a one-stop shop for all of your professional needs.
Our History
1931
Henton & Chattell was founded in 1931 by two friends, Leslie Henton and Charles Chattell. It was a year when the great depression was in force and undoubtedly a brave venture.

The first premises, selling ironmongery, was located in Beeston, Nottingham. They opened a further two shops, one in Lenton and the other in West Bridgford.
1949
In 1949 the two partners consolidated their retail premises into one. A large house next to their existing Henton & Chattell premises on Radcliffe Road was converted to a showroom. At the same time they purchased new premises that are located on London Road, Nottingham.

With around 5,000 sq ft of space, this was the start of the company destined to become the major independent Grass Machinery Distributor in the UK.
Today
Today, Henton and Chattell are leading distributors for many of the industry leading brands in the UK and offer a number of exclusive product ranges ideally suited to your professional needs.
